Belly Warming Sourdough Focaccia Bread

  • Mixing Spoon
  • Tea Towel
  • Glass Casserole Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 575 g Flour
  • 150 g Sourdough Start
  • 400 g Water
  • 5 g Salt
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Any seasonings you want to add

Instructions
 

  • 12-14 hours before, feed sourdough start
  • Mix together your flour, salt, water, and sourdough starter
  • Rise dough for 4-8 hours until it doubles in size, covered with a damp tea towel
  • Once dough rises, prepare glass casserole dish with a generous amount of olive oil
  • Flop your risen dough onto the grease casserole dish
  • Flip it to the other side, so both sides are coated in oil
  • 30-45 min before desired baking time, preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Rest dough for 1-2 hours
  • Using your fingers, press repeatedly into the bread pushing the corners of the dough into the corners of the dish. The bread should be bumpy with a lot of indents
  • Add desired seasonings
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
