Sweet Green Sourdough Pancakes

Equipment

  • Cooking Pan
  • Bowl
  • Mixing Spoon
  • Immersion Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¾ C All Purpose Flour
  • 3 ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 C Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ c Sourdough Discard
  • ½ Spinach
  • 1 c water

Instructions
 

Green Dye:

  • Boil Water and Spinach together for 2-3 minutes
  • Use an Immersion Blender to combine and smoothe the mixture.
  • (I used 1 ⅓ c of this mix to dye my mixture)

Pancakes:

  • In a bowl, mix dry ingredients together (1 ¾ C All Purpose Flour, 3 ½ Tsp Baking Powder, 1 Tbsp Sugar, Pinch Salt)
  • Add wet ingredients (1 C Milk, 2 Eggs, ¼ c Sourdough Discard, and 1 ⅓ c spinach mixture)
  • Heat pan and coat with oil
  • Scoop pancake batter onto pan (This is where you can make cute designs like shamrocks).
  • Flip to the other side once the top looks bubbly and nearly cooked through
